I think it will make the UK seriously poorer and maybe quite quickly. We are not at the forefront of the AI revolution despite our politicians, so far, feeble attempts at developing an AI industry. AI models will not be tested and processed here as UK energy is far too expensive. But UK is heavily dependent upon service industries including the Banks, Insurance, the City of London and their support functions such as lawyers and accountants who will be early adopters and most heavily impacted in terms of losing highly paid jobs.
