I have to say, I don't know how much I really trust the bulk of the opinions espoused in this video. Almost everything seems to be built on the apparent given that "we don't know how AI works". And while I am not about to say I have a technical knowledge of it, I WILL say with my whole chest that I haven't seen anything from an AI that cannot be explained by saying it is aping and rearranging aggregate texts from a large data base.
Like, sure, it is extraordinarily complex, but I struggle to see how it is wildly more impressive than any of the other chat bots we've had, aside from the sheer scale of the data sets and operations. So, so much of the current AI bubble is reliant on this whole discourse that AI are smart, AI are learning, etc, and I just do not see it nor agree with the premise. Idk, I smell snake oil and I did not find anything in the video to be compelling enough to convince me it's actually panacea.
