It would be better journalism if she mentioned the Universal Basic Income - it is frustrating because people are stuck in a mode where we are either for or against AI development, but what we really need is to take our attention back from "working to live" to making sure that our human flourishing is prioritized in a democratic way, to maximize the benefit and minimize harms. UBI is urgently needed to get our attention back to caring for ourselves and each other.
