Great interview despite the rather depressing tone. Here's an example of AI assistance on a governmental level. A watchdog on corruption. The Belgian system has some high level well covered corruption at the core of its fiscal and social "challenges" let's call them. An AI that has access to all public servants banking transactions (sacrificing privacy to a certain extent...think of it as confidential unless...x, y, z) would greatly reduce money laundering, nepotism in public tenders etc. Pretty much nobody really wants it because everyone benefits to a lesser or greater degree from the age-old bartering of favours. Rock and a hard place. Just some thoughts...
