Autonomous trucks will never completely take over truck driving. It is true that they may take over highway driving but we are out in the middle of nowhere away from any type of signal, and GPS does fail as well, they will need people to drive in those situations. Even robots in manufacturing need to be programmed every once in awhile because they don't have sensors that cover everything and the only way a robot can interact with the environment is through the sensors that it has and they go bad much more frequently than a human eyeball or ear
