I’m dyslexic, so AI already helps me with things like emails and writing — that alone has been a game changer.
But here’s the part people don’t talk about…
I’m 56. I never studied coding at school. I only had a bit of basic knowledge.
Now, in my spare time after work, I’m actually building a computer game from scratch — including the artwork and design. It’s my idea, my project.
Without AI, that would have taken me years (if I even got there at all).
But I don’t just let it do everything. I constantly ask:
“Why does this work?”
“How does this code do that?”
And something interesting is happening…
It’s not making me lazy — it’s making me think more.
It’s like having a teacher that guides me, then says: “Now you try the next step yourself.”
For me, this isn’t just a tool.
It’s given me a creative outlet, a challenge, and honestly — I feel like it’s keeping my brain active, not ruining it.
Maybe the problem isn’t AI…
Maybe it’s how people choose to use it.
