Another great video, Alex. Your demeanor keeps me calmer. The Music/Art crisis began with Napster, with our government and the RIAA doing absolutely nothing to remind citizens of their blatant, open thievery. This, and other piracy over the decades, burned a hole in our cultural fabric that remains. People still don't understand why the phrase "It's a victimless crime!" is oxymoronic. As a Musician, I've stopped associating with any fellow musician who uses AI for any artistic task, to protect not only my integrity, but to send a clear message: either be a REAL Artist, and stop your kneeling, or we won't work together. Risky? Yes, because with *increased* access to information and horrible, tasteless Music, our IQs are declining rapidly, and attention spans are currently, on average, 42 seconds. But, again, alignment with purpose comes first. As "fun" as tribute and cover bands are for people (and fewer every month), they discourage innovation in the artistic pursuits of Music, and turn simple nostalgia into a cancerous plague in the mind. I say this as a 56-year-old GenXer who was in Alt Music as it blossomed, then died. I've returned to my Progressive Music roots with ferocity and fresh creativity. I'm happy to say that I will die while remembering that I returned to what I love, and continued to musically evolve. New, all-original Prog band ahead, my own, and I'm already writing for it. I have no expectations other than to be in alignment with my purpose and find others who share my passion. It's absolutely doable, and thousands of people appreciate real Music enough to help make it happen. Clean your brain and heart, and stay aligned with your God-given purpose.
