If not AI, then something will cause the world to collapse. How could we not fail if we are going to support a system that is actively trying to invent a way to shut us out of it.
That would be capitalism, and AI isn't anywhere near the start of it. The entire time people have been working for money other people have been trying to find ways to get the work without having to pay.
