I hate the "soldier reunites with dog" videos SO MUCH. They're so blatantly AI but people just eat it up. One very easy tell has nothing to do with what you see, it's what you hear. Currently AI voices in generated videos have a weird choppiness to them. Once you learn to hear it, you'll notice it in almost all of them. Plus a lot of time the syncing of the audio doesn't line up with the video. But in terms of spotting it from the videos, one super easy give-away is "breathing" backgrounds. It's really easy to notice, and is differentiable from just bad camera quality. Also if the physics don't make sense with the small details. Like in those accursed soldier dog videos, there is almost always an issue with the physics on the leash. Often times the leash will phase through stuff, magically create too much leash in the middle of it, or it'll just float in mid-air with nobody holding it. Or the dogs will move unnaturally. Also when there's a panning shot, sometimes the details of where the "camera" pans to will be messed up. Like a car with only 2 wheels, a house without a roof, a sky with 2 suns, etc. Honestly the easiest is just the choppy voices and breathing backgrounds/textures. Oh and messed up text on stuff. If you can't make a word out of it, it's likely AI. Although it has gotten better with words so that one is a less easy to spot detail.
