I listened to the sleepycabin podcast for a long time and they always talked about how much time it took them to become good at their art. I think the 10000 hour rule is correct. My hobby is photography and when i go back and look at the first photos i took i know that i learned a lot over the decades of taking photos. I run stable diffusion on my own PC and use it for fun stuff nothing serious and i also think that AI in general is a great tool but a human artist is still unbeatable when it comes to the "soul" of the art. AI art feels soulless even if it's very pretty. I doubt AI will be able to recreate this soul soon.
