okay. Yes, AI is bad. But at this point, in capitalist society, there is no stopping it replacing artists, at least in actual companies. This isnt supporting AI, it is merely being realistic about it. Will there be independent artists who can make profit? Probably. Will there be specific studios and companies which rely only on human made art? Probably again. But AI is a tool. It isnt a tool in the sense that it improves ones artistic capabilities, rather, it is a tool in the sense that it improves the productive forces of society, in this case relating to the art industry. It is not correct to compare AI to digital art or photography, instead, it makes much more sense to compare it to the machines of the 18th century which started the industrial revolution. A development in the productive forces which let into the process of creation a much wider portion of the populace while reducing the individual work each person would need to produce something, even though it may be of lower quality than a completely handcrafted product. This is not only AI art, but also the loom, and modern robotics, and the such. The issue with a lot of artists is that they lack a philosophical or material basis when approaching the question of AI art. Is it bad? Yes, if you are an artist. But it has no real harm to the individuals who do not relate to art, or companies who do not necessarily care about morality, besides the future threat of being replaced. However, unfortunately, in the process of the development of capitalism, productive forces will develop whether people like it or not, and these developments will stay and develop.
