Companies swapping even juniors for AI will bury themselves alive. AI has higher output limits, but they aren't 'thinking', they are like a machine gun. Feed it with ammo and pull the trigger until the barrel overheats and explodes. Anyone who talked to GPT knows, that there's a point where it's done. Managers will flood them with tasks breaking the boundaries (the faster the AI the faster it happens) and any remaining humans and even AI supervisors will not be able to fix it. Even if management or senior workers notice that the products are garbage, they are only the top of the pyramid. They wil be too few, too late to fix. AI can't take responsiblity and the top of the pyramid will have no 'flesh' to blame or lay off. Same if e.g. robots are to take over people's jobs. If people are laid off, they get poor, no point manufacturing with AI for them. If a work is valuable enough to be paid well, replacing with AI drives the value down, so the AI prodcut will be worthless. So saving on labour costs may not even counter the loss of sales value. The middle class, hated by everyone, will have to step in and intervene.
