No, AI does not feel or have emotions or anything, and because of that you should NEVER give it permission or IT be treated as a person to ask for permission.
In the distant future where AI will most likely get to feel stuff, then we can have this conversation about treating the AI as a sentient being, but now If you can't hurt it it isn't alive, period.
