The topic missing from this video on why AI definitely will take over health care is that nobody can afford healthcare currently. AI makes it fast and affordable. There’s so much time and money in just getting a diagnosis, and AI can eliminate the vast majority of that.
Once AI can also precisely control robots to perform surgeries, there becomes very little reason to have expensive employees as part of the equation. You can just have techs that oversee things. The truth is the majority of value in today’s doctors is purely in the knowledge. It’s not like they make fantastic decisions 100% of the time. It’s just that they have very specialized knowledge. But AI already knows more and will only get more knowledgeable.
