I hear you about change being the natural state of the world. The need to adapt is clear. As I listen though, I feel my age when you speak about having so many years ahead to change our art careers, creative practices and business models. I'm short on time at 58 years of age. It's one of the reasons I'm so grateful to be a subscriber to your channel. I very much need the energetic and insightful perspective you can offer. I've been a "work for other people" artist for my entire career. That has pretty much dried up for me. Last year my studio job ended in early summer and I thought to finally pursue an illustration career. Not having any background in structuring a business and having relied on employment to corral my work discipline, it is an understatement to say it has been difficult. Then AI came over the hill engines blazing. In a panic, I dove headfirst into Midjourney for several months in a "ride or die" perspective. It got too expensive for the short term, so I stopped paying the fees. I was also getting some cold shoulder push back from other artists in my circle. So, being back on the desert floor so to speak, I am seeking out other ways to reinvent myself. You are shining lights that are very helpful right now.
