As a CDL holder owner operator owner of a small fleet I understand why it’s happening. The current state of trucking and truck drivers is pathetic. Drivers are no longer professional have any real abilities. I’m talking about the newer drivers. With in the last 15 to 20yrs You see them at truck stops in shorts, flip-flops, looking like they were dumpster diving just before they walked in they have no mechanical abilities When I started driving a truck. There was no cell phone no GPS you changed your own belts on the side of the road, you changed your own alternator you changed your own tire. There was nobody to call for help all the drivers that can’t even speak English now. Don’t know how to get from point A to point B without a GPS no wonder companies and the government wants to go to driverless trucks it’s sad but true
