AI art is terrible. The job controversy shouldn’t even be a controversy, having a robot do things that humans do in result of putting more people is the opposite of what we want to do to grow. AI art doesn’t just steal jobs but futures, many gifted artists may never find the gift they have because of a phrase that is more than likely to be common if this continues: ‘that’s cool but why don’t you just generate it’ this crushes dreams and fun which leads to depression which spirals into a depressed community. Having a robot generate our world isn’t good, not to mention we have absolutely not created Artificial Intelligence. What we’ve made is a copy cat robot that was taught everything we *programmed* it to know, it is not something we created to think for itself and it’s not really a break through. Really AI generators are just robots that stole human creation, it is not more intelligent than us because it cannot think. It is far from being Artificial Intelligence. What we have created is a machine that steals thousands of drawings from thousands of un-consenting artists that had NO IDEA that the art they post on Social Media and places like Deviant Art will be scanned and used to contribute to this growing money scheme to trick society into thinking we have something smarter than humans. Our species will just never be satisfied, it’s obvious. Our greed goes all the way back to the Stone Age. Look at pastoral nomadism, we wanted more animals to carry in bigger herds so that we can have more food than we need. Having artists that can look at something and interpret it into their own style and closely reflect the world around humans is incredible. So now we have to strip the happiness away from these people? We have to give up hobbies humans do to some lazy, soulless being simply because we are greedy and lazy? Be true, stand up against AI, for it is tearing our community apart.
