The decentralized model won't occur, because all those "gig jobs" will in fact by done by AI's. Abundance won't happen because greed will assure that those who own/operate the (AI driven) engines of production will take all the money. And we already have the situation that our government is owned and operated by the ultra-rich and corporate titans. So government "coming to our rescue" with universal basic income that is significant (more than absolute bare subsistence) is laughable. Our society is headed over a cliff, fast fast fast.
