As just a fan, not an artist, there's one thing that sets good art apart from crappy art, and it's expression. The best drawing of a bland expression is bland, but a technically badly executed drawing of a cute expression is cute. And A.I. being no more than a statistical mashup, just can't, by definition, be better than the average of it's training (and it isn't even that). And expressions on A.I. art are ALWAYS crap, it can barely make a decent smile more often than not, in my opinion this gives much of the "soulless" feeling of A.I. art, even if you don't know it's A.I. beforehand (which let's be real, sets a high bias for anyone against it).
That being said, your style... is SO ADORABLE...
