LLMs success is due to them being able to imitate speech and intellect good enough for marketing to sell them as AI and AI being described by Sci-Fi as all powerful thinking machine. None of that is true. AI bubble will burst if income won't justify the costs, but LLMs will remain in our lives to do things they are really good at (Babylon fish, finally). However, the damage done to the educational system is huge and I have no idea how to properly fix it.
