It is wrong to say that AI will completely replace devs.
But AI used by a skilled dev increase it's productivity. What you needed 3 devs for a 1-month project will eventualy require only 2 devs for the same period of time. For the remaining 1 dev, either you have another project to work on, either you fire him and has been de facto replaced by AI, even tho he wasn't officialy replaced by AI. You just didn't have work for him.
So saying AI won't replace the devs is wrong too: a portion of them will be (and are) replaced by the productivity gained through AI.
