I like AI as a tool, something to help you thin out the forest of ideas running through your head. But that's that. Once you have used the tool to proof your idea, you then start working on it yourself. I'm not good at drawing, I'm learning (very slowly). I also feel like that tools like nightshade will only work for a short time. As there will be tools to detect and maybe even reverse it. I don't condone it, but based on what you see with hacking or cheating in online games. It's a constant back and forward. In the end, we all lose. AI Generated images have their place, as long as their training data has been done on commissioned work (so paid for so the trainer has the legal rights to it), or the artists have explicitly stated that some or all of their art can be used to train models. As I'm not a professional illustrator/artist, my views are probably different. As a programmer/developer we deal with AI in a different way. In my day-to-day. I tend to use it as a manual or to hash out ideas/concepts. The code it writes is usually not good enough to work with anyway. So... interactive manual? :P
