I think some of these scientists/AI developers have seen the end game and it's quite disturbing since it only ends in maximum e.v. (expected value) for the owners of the companies... That's it. It's not going to cure cancer, there will not be high-paying jobs for all, nor will there be anyone to discuss the great opportunities that AI will provide. What careers will there be for humans other than creating replacements for the work force? Slave labor jobs, that's what. Everyone in debt will probably wind up in some form of debtor's prison for the menial tasks in life; or body replacement parts for the "Elites". I hate to sound so bleak but when you're looking into a funnel the only way out is through the tiny hole at the bottom, and that's not a lot of room. "Hunger Games" anyone? Good luck folx.
