Technically if you generate enough of those and mash them together to have them become your own thing again you technically are a "real artist" just one that lets a computer do 1/3 of your project for you. But tbf as someone that wanted to go into film and animation most digital art is like that to a slight extent so if you wanna be a real artist have the computer make you a bunch of those pictures then take all of them and make your own unique piece and it comes full circle again. 😅 until then the computer is the artist and you just have good creative ideas to feed it. Kinda like if you mix some leftovers to make a new dish and put it in the microwave. Technically at that point you're sort of a chef just not a trained one. No skill in the actual cooking process persay but you did actually make s unique dish which fosters some of those skills. Same case here. As an artist I am not against AI art I'm against using it to replace actual art 😅 cause it doesn't work like that. Microwaved leftovers or frozen dinners can sometimes be as good as a fresh cooked meal by a chef if you like it and that is all well and fine but this logic is exactly it AI art is not the same as real art. Is it still art? Yes but that does not make the person clicking the mouse the artist the computer is. And it is not the same as or a replacement for the real thing in it's entirety it's just another type OF art. Though the person telling a computer to generate a thing is not the artist in that case the computer is.
