I'm not very good with AI but I think ChatGPT 5 might be making the distinction between the greater ChatGPT brand (3.5, 4, etc) and its own model, or the greater ChatGPT brand and its own context (what you've said to it in that conversation and other summaries).
That or the AI just breaks down whenever you push it too hard on doing something wrong.
