I have a toyota with collision avoidance. Sometimes I get a warning to brake when the system sees a stationary object in front of me, but the car doesn't stop automatically as it does if you come up behind a car. It almost as if the system isn't sure, so gives me just a warning instead of braking for me. I find this a bit disturbing. On the other hand, I don't want the car to stop because it's detected a drain cover. This stuff needs work to be reliable enough to be relied on.
