I have a question: I am an author and an artist, however I'm really not good at digital art and tried several times to create drawings of my book characters to visualize them better, but they just never turned out right. That's why I eventually used an AI image generator to give me pictures of them, and I'm actually really happy with those. Is it fine to use these generators for innocent purposes like that, or is it still harmful in some way? I am normally very opposed to AI of all sorts too and am scared by how much it is sneaking into our lives everywhere, but so far I wouldn't have said there's anything wrong with just having some fun with it for your private purposes. But this video made me think about whether that is still harming real artists?
