If it's not here, it doesn't exist: maybe one day it will kill us all or solve all our problems, but since knowing the future is scientifically impossible by definition, all the potential means nothing. Especially if you consider that right now, in this exact moment, AI is more of a liability and an annoyance for the common user and a weapon of mass destruction to be used in war for governments. Right now AI is more used for revenge porn than medical research. Is more used for mass surveillance than infrastructure streamlining, it's more used as an excuse to fire people than actually improving job conditions. We work more for less, in a world verging on a constant state of war for the last resources, while billionaires are reaching the peak of their lavish lifestyle with the gap between them and us measured in astronomical units; we made art, culture and ethics a mockery; schools and college a waste of time and jobs a contract of slavery: we made healthcare unaffordable, food poisonous, water scarce and the air unbreathable. AI is just another step in the downward spiral of creating a solution to solve all our problems at once instead of trying to actually solve those problems one by one. It's just more problems cause it's always more problems.
