It depends if AI used illegally sources, sue them. But if AI uses art from sites where artist uploaded content without reading sites policy, and it is allowed there, it is artist fault and lazyness. Second artist does not own specific style both other artists and AI are free to use anyone's style. If it generates exact or really close copy of painting, sure sue them for copyright infringement. Will it affect artists salary, nope (if anything get payed more). Will affect how many artists get hired, Yes. As with this skillful artist can set Art style direction in project and give AI to draw low priority parts, (which is given usually to low skill artists). If You think it only affects 2D artists, You so wrong. It does affect also writers, programmers and so on. If people don't adapt, they won't survive. There always will be market for hand-crafted (human made) art, foods and so on, who are interested specifically in that. And specific creditation would be hard to implement, other than pointing to general sources (websites, databases). And if AI art is more popular due to quality than Artist work, it is Artist lack of skill not AI fault.
