As for the “soul” debate, there is no reason to discount souls merging /animating a computer system that essentially functions as our current biological brains do. In the future “brains” updates (as well as the telepathic-like global/internet mind) will be like getting a hip replacement or organ transplant, yet vastly superior. Of course, proceeding forward with a healthy skepticism (like this interview is stressing) of the powerful few that have always lorded over the many. But that shouldn’t stop us from advancing bc we have a tendency to be superstitious. Life will find a way.
