I would like to add my experience as an ex-AI user for image generation. I started art because of AI. AI opened the doors of arts, especially visual arts, for me. I always said "I'm more of a crafty person than artsy". I struggle a lot with drawing, painting...and it frustrated me that I had so many ideas that I could never translate into anything nice or even understandable. When I found AI image generation, I was happy, 'cause I could share some of that more artsy creativity. I could share my visions. With time, after a solid 1 and 1/2 year of playing with AI, I finally found the courage, the strength and the confidence to try to design my own thing. My first painting that I'm actually so proud of, I did it with a mixture of AI references and my own design. The next few creations, I started going more and more away from AI at all. I can't curse people for using AI because it helped me. I understand the issues that come with it. It would just be hypocritical of me to curse them out now that I make my own stuff. I'm proud of my journey as an artist, even though sometimes I don't think I deserve the title because I don't think my art is very expressive. But I can't forget where I came from.
