Sample a drum loop from a James Brown song and you have to get it legally cleared and possibly pay millions of dollars. Come up with a similar melody to another song and possibly get sued and end up fined.
Yet with artwork no such protection exists and these companies are basically being allowed to steal billions of works with impunity and feed them digitally into their AI. There needs to be some legislation or laws passed to protect artists.
