AI is forcing people to become more generalist, changing the objective of software engineers and programmers from just writing code to also applying it across multiple fields which can now have better access to ai such as agriculture, healthcare, and even culinary fields. People are taking it pessimistically because it forces software developers to actually gain sight of what they are doing, rather than merely typing.
