I'm starting to think we should make Generative AI illegal.
Nothing good comes out of it. It's essentially a drug equivalent in tech world. It may save you 20s on reading an email, but:
- it makes you dumber in the long term
- causes people to do stupid things in short term
- corrupts everyone around
- its production poisons the water, destroys the environment
- already a background of despicable abuse, from minors to copyrights
- only wealthy AI-dealers are benefitting at everyone elses expense
- it's mixed into everything, lowering the quality
- served to "occlude" the judgement of people in power
And we already established we should restrict children access to it.. Let's extend it all the way.
