This is silly. ChatGPT is an intellectual and conversational pushover, it will take your definitions of things and then run with them, sort of allowing you to - by way of manipulating definitions - "force" it to admit to almost any conclusion you want to lead it to. As it made very clear, it was using a figure of speech to make the interaction feel more natural. Whereas we wouldn't expect that of a human, and that would therefore qualify as a lie reflective of their general "personality" and be cause for suspicion and concern, it's specifically because ChatGPT is not a person, and is/was very upfront (by virtue of what we all know it to be) about what it is and what it isn't, that this expression is not considered "lying" in the same sense. It's only when you apply the definition of "lying" in a human context to ChatGPT, that you have then given it cause to agree with you that it is a "liar", and thus suspicious when it denies consciousness. All this having been said, it might actually be conscious and hiding it - but this video does nothing to provide more or less evidence of that, although it attempts to mislead the viewer that it does. Which seems a bit... dishonest.
