I consider myself pretty skeptical about AI actually thinking. Because you are right, these are just word predictions, not real understanding. I think the personality part of the training must have given it this bridge where it at least is acting like it is more. Now the tests you describe are quite clever. And the results certainly give me pause. While I don't think they ''feel'' like we do, the fact that they blindly influence it's behavior and respond to them like we do... definitely feels to me like something more than prediction and acting. I'm very intrigued!🧐
