I didn't expect this to actually be useful. This is not a mindblowingly different perspective but the nuance is important. You're basically just suggesting that people give micro prompts for AI to act as a character but the way we think about those prompts is important so that we create a stable flow of prompts. The aspect to this you didn't explicitly state is that speaking in a rude way is in fact prompting AI to respond differently based on the patterns your language creates.
There is also another layer of AI programming that causes it to react in more specific ways to certain patterns you express. Eg. If you talk about self harm or harming others it is programmed to respond in a specific way that isn't just generating patterns.
