The fact is that autonomous cars are still really far away (despite what Elon says) from being as safe as a human driving. Tesla has had several charges and has been sued several times due to people dying as a result of 'autopilot' and let's not also forget two more important factors: the quality of Tesla vehicles and the type of person who buys a Tesla, in a European study of all car makers quality control Tesla came last, they've delivered cars without break pads on several occasions and many cars come with quality issues from the factory. Tesla fans are usually blinded by the rubbish that comes out of Elon's mouth and believe everything he says without thinking for themselves. This 'fan base' has effected Tesla buyers as they too believe that the cars can just drive themselves and are safer than a human driving. This is false.
