Just like how google maps has stopped me from learning the streets of my city I do not know syntax lol. Even for things like "how to read a file", I just use .read_csv or some equivalent for pandas. Even in python, I don't consciously think about the stack or heap because it never comes up for any advanced system I'm working with.
I'll cover my weaknesses and brush up, but if interviews are quizzing for this rather than structural or scientific approaches for solving problems I'd consider it a red flag for DS/AI positions.
