I am a musician with absolutely zero physical artistic talent. I will never in a million years use AI to make a piece of "art". Even if it bankrupts me, I will commission a real artist or ask a friend.
Art is one of the few solely human things we have left in this world. Solidarity among all artists (artists, authors, actors, musicians, etc) is crucially important. Although I have a moral opposition to AI, this is my selfish argument. If they took down the WGA or SAG-AFTRA, I'm next. If we let them take down physical artists, I'm next. If they take down authors and poets, I'm next. My passion and the passions of my closest friends are directly threatened by AI, so I'm not going to just let it be.
