Hey... I just want to write that you don't have to worry that much. You are unique. You are a product of natural evolution... Technology is nothing next to that, and that's why the real problem is that open and practical measures have to be taken to prevent people from COPYING others' works and try to claim the copy as their own. Anyone who says that you will become obsolete is lying to themselves and to everyone else. I also do think that AI can make art. Technology isn't perfect... It will never be perfect, just like its creators. Art is subjective. It's also strictly human expression, so even if someone finds it creative to teach a robot to do what they want (maybe they are more language-oriented than visual), that still doesn't negate/replace your ways of expression. Some people are more emotional while others are more logical, and they can't always share the same opinions. In case you ask, I never even touched AI because I don't like how their developers haven't been transparent. My requirement would be to at least have ways to OPT-IN and OPT-OUT from having my works trained with and being able to customize its dataset however I like. If anyone can't respect this, why would I want to give THEIR work a chance? Think not of your art as something that depends only on how impressive it is—make your PERSONALITY be the focus. There will always be people who will respond to this way more than the technicalities that go into its creation. For others, the technicalities can be the bigger part of their personality, and why should I feel useless if they still admire what I do, enough to go out of their way to train their own little collaborator on it? Provided they ask for permission, I would personally love to see what they could do!
