On no level do I see it as a replacement for actual artists! For me, I have no money, and need placeholder art for my characters while I'm slowly progressing as a game dev, and every once in a while, it does come up with a nice design. (I suck at drawing, not my strong suit at all lol) My plan is this: Once I work on projects I intend on releasing to the public, I fully intend on commissioning real artists to take the 4 AI art characters that I actually like, and re-drawing them completely, from the ground up! That way, I can still support real artists, while also getting generic characters from AI generators lol.
