No that's not how the algorithm works. It uses the pictures in its database then destroys them with "static" then reconstruct them from that. A good example is getty images having their logo replicated. Corridor crew have a very good video on this. The big question is one of copyright as none of these artists have been asked to submit their art for the dataset. Hence the lawsuits. The real risk is that the ai isn't creating anything new and will leave us with a bunch of boring goo.
