Back in the day if I wrote a song with words and melody, we would then higher musicians and a professional singer to produce the song so we could shop it to publishing companies or labels. So if I put my lyrics and melody with chords into Suno and it gives me a version of my song. Why can't I copyright it??? There are many songs that have been released in many styles but I still own the songs copyright and the production that has chosen to do a version of my song would do an SR copyright (sound recording). Why wouldn't that work with AI??? AI would be my session players right???
