I'm kinda just waiting on it to happen to me at my work as well, I feel like 80% of us are headed for replacement by AI cause like you said humans basically can't compete. It makes me wonder what will the govt do when hundreds of thousands or potentially millions of people are getting laid off? I don't think it's going to be a simple fix and not to get too political but I dont have a lot of faith in the current govt to smartly navigate this either.
Personally I was thinking about switching up to a govt job with some security behind it, otherwise I agree with you we all have to do something to AI proof our jobs but even then it seems like those fields will eventually get super saturated.
