The problem with AI "replacing" entry-level jobs is this: without people in those positions, when intermediate and upper-level positions become unfilled due to attrition (people leaving those positions to go to other companies or retire, etc.) -- who will be there to replace them? Entry-level positions are where people learn and become qualified for promotion into higher-level positions. If AI does, indeed, replace entry-level jobs, the result will be a dearth of qualified and experienced people to fill the more advanced positions. People will say that AI will take those positions as well. Sure. When I was a little girl, many decades ago, we got a Weekly Reader that said that within the next 25 years there will be flying cars. I'm still waiting.
