Nice CGI but the argument is wrong. This can't happen because if people can't afford buying things what is going to support the benefits of companies? Who is the AI going to work for? Let's asume people will endure the unemployment situation without rebelling. If people need things they can't afford they are going to get them in some or another way. In the end if companies replace all people for AI what's going to happen is that people will replace companies themselves and probably an outside economy would emerge.
Maybe 1% of the people in the world can have 90% of the money from it, but they wouldn't last too long without the other 99% of the population to support the economy. The value of the money is the value we give to it so if 99% of the population doesn't have the same money as the other 1% i'd say that is the 1% who is playing monopoly.
