The simulation concept is just along the lines of religion. And it's just not logical. Also the idea of living forever sounds dreadful, given how bad humans are at running this planet and running towns even households. AI is certainly not making it better for the vast majority of people on the planet over the next 5 years. Or even over the next 10 years. It's interesting to speculate about how things will be and that change will be swift, but there are definitely aspects of the world that are not going to change so much.
