The metaphor in part V was brilliant - the impending potential doom that is AI being put off by the currently most advanced species on the planet, due to sheer blindness, ignorance, and comical levels of arrogance... A beautiful way of phrasing it.
This truly is the precipice of a massive historical event, whether we want it to be or not. I think that the next 100 years - no, perhaps the next 10-15 - will be undeniably the most impactful period thus far in human history, because we have never had the pleasure, nor fear, of dealing with something so much more capable than us than we can even begin to understand... and it will be of our own creation and volition.
