Raw LLM Responses

People who defend AI are children, amateurs, cheap, gullible or any combination of those. It boils down to "would you rather have a job where you can develop creatively and express yourself or a job where you labor through thoughtless tasks that robots quite can't comprehend", I think most people would pick the first. Relying on AI for creative stuff will suck every remaining drop of human creativity and ingenuity that's left in a world where there's already a stronger push for quantity than quality. Creative trades are dying out and we're accelerating the process with optimizing the hell out of fun and joyful parts of life. I don't want 3 generations down the line to live in a world where their only job options are to redraw fingers on AI paintings and fix identical errors in code that are present in current software because a whole lot of pointless content had to be produced with no thought put into whom it's for. AI has potential to be great if applied sensibly. But current trends are completely removed from actually good and appropriate applications. For instance, these image generation things are gold for placeholder art in games, but instead of making these models larger and trying to replace artists (at cost that's worse and unsustainable), we should be trying to trim them down so they can generate worse graphics on a normal computer (locally). As a software developer by trade, I just can't help but laugh at the code that's generated by these AI coding tools. It's complete garbage. But people who just want to make a program without knowing how to code can't tell the generated code is worse than something an entry level coder would throw together. It lacks instinct and soul. And I can even sense that in generated art even though I'm not an artist - it all looks generic, not a single generated piece feels like it has a purpose.
